CABA World Series (semi-final Game)

The Flames 6th inning rally fell short and their 49 win season comes to an end. Nick Ernst tossed 5 solid innings giving up just 2 ER while striking out 2.

Cincy Flames 14, Avondale Angels 6

The rubber match of the Flames-Angels 2006 rivalry was held 350 miles away and with very high stakes. The Flames came out hitting and Mark Peterson was able to hold the fast Angels offense down to two earned runs. Ryne Poli was on fire, smacking a 2B, 3B and knocking in 2 RBI.

Brandon Mullins continued his hot hitting smacking an RBI double in the 3rd. Trey Amann and Randy Davis each recorded RBI walks, and Davis and Nick Ernst each smacked singles. Kane Bateman added two singles, Bret Bosel and Mark Peterson also chimed in on the hit parade with base knocks.

Joey Wenning shut the Angels down in the 4th for the save.

CABA World Seris (double elimination play) Game 3

Cincy Flames 8, Hawaii Warriors 5

Crystal Lake, IL - Trey Amann's running catch in right field ended the game with the tying run at the plate and advanced the Flames to the Final Four of the 2006 CABA World Series.

Mark Peterson walked with the bases loaded in the top of the 5th to give the Flames a 6-5 lead and then Kane Bateman smacked a two-run single to put the Flames up by 3, and they never looked back.

Brandon Mullins pitched 3 innings allowing only 3 H and an ER. Randy Davis pitched 3 innings allowing 0 ER for the win.

Not even a 22 1/2 hour rain delay could wake up the Flames offense. Brett Bosel pitched 4 fantastic innings giving up just 2 H, and an ER while striking out 5. Brandon Mullins pitched a perfect 5th inning whil striking out 2.

Cincy Flames 10, Woodstock GWBA 0

Crystal Lake, IL - Kane Bateman came out pitching BBs and the Flames bats were smoking as the Flames continued on in the 2006 CABA World Series.

Bateman held Woodstock to two hits over four innings while striking out 5. Kane has now pitched 7 consecutive innings in the World Series without allowing a run.

Brandon Mullins continued his hot hitting with an RBI double in the first, Mark Peterson knocked in two with a single in the 3rd. John Malott, Tristan Lana and Ryne Poli each added RBI singles, and Trey Amann smacked a single and scored a run.
