Cincinnati Flames 11, Xtreme Sharks 6

West Chester, Oh - The Cincinnati Flames kicked off the SWOL season with a win over the Xtreme Sharks. Once again the Flames shook off early game gitters and won the game on solid bullpen contributions and timely late inning hitting. Justin Moyer pitched two scoreless, hitless innings while striking out two for the win. Brett Bosel earned his 4th save of the year by shutting down the Sharks with 2 ks in the 6th inning. Tristan Lana made the defensive play of the game, snaring a sure single up the middle and throwing out the runner by a step at firstbase. Kane Bateman went 2 for 3 with 3 R, but the hitting star of the game was Brandon Mullins, who executed a perfect suicide squeeze in the 5th inning, to top off a 1 for 2 evening with 2 RBI. Mark Peterson drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 4th with a single.

Bateman 2-3 3 R
Mullins 1-2 2 RBI
